Motorplex
Welcomes Local Fans and Drivers to the Track
Nashville,
TN – With the news that another local short track has closed, the
Music City Motorplex announced today that the historic facility is
welcoming all fans, drivers and crew members to the track.
Although
the rules from the surrounding tracks are different, the Motorplex
will embrace all the cars and drivers to the extent allowed by the
MCM and NASCAR rule book. The Motorplex has added one new
division to the Sunday Family Fun Day line-up combining area
“Super Stocks” with simplified rules. The new division
will be known as the Road Runners. Four cylinder cars will
fall into either the all stock Hornet division or the Front Runner
racing divisions.
The
Late Models and Sportsman are invited to adapt to the NASCAR/MCM
rule book. Cars that are unable to adapt to these rules are
invited to join the All American Late Model Challenge or the
Tennessee Outlaws, according to the specifications.
All
new drivers must register a number to be allowed to race, but track
licenses from Riverview or Huntsville Speedway will be honored.
“We
want to offer these fans and drivers a place to enjoy great racing
action,” commented track general manager, Jack Deery.

May 27 the Music City Motorplex hosts the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing
Series Friday Night Thunder featuring the Coors Late Models,
